Ceiling light fills a room. Table light fills a moment.
There is a reason no good restaurant lights its tables from above. Light from overhead flattens faces and hardens everything it touches. Light from the table does the opposite — it softens, it draws people in, and it makes whatever is on the plate look like it was worth making.
The Bellamy is that light, in a piece you can lift with one hand and set down wherever the evening happens to be.
Dinner, lit properly
Four rooms, one lamp
Because it carries its own power, the Bellamy isn't tied to a socket — which changes where a lamp is allowed to live.
The dining table
An island of warm light at the centre, with none of the glare that comes from above.
The bedside
At 28cm it has presence without crowding — and needs no socket behind the bed.
The kitchen counter
Low light for pouring and talking, long after the overheads have gone off.
Wherever you carry it
Desk in the morning, table at dinner, a sheltered step outside on a warm evening.
One hand, and the room changes
Light enough to move
Gold, after dark
Outside, on a good evening
Charged by USB and used with nothing plugged in, so nothing trails across the table.
Small in size. Considerable in effect.
Brushed aluminium reads differently from moulded plastic under warm light — it holds the glow instead of bouncing it back. The 54 LED points behind the disc spread an even wash rather than a hotspot, and three colour temperatures carry the lamp from dinner through to a working morning.
54 LED points
An even wash of light, with no single bright spot to catch the eye.
Three temperatures
Warm for dinner, neutral for working, cool for reading.
Touch control
A discreet sensor on the top disc — no switch, no visible button.
Three finishes
Gold warms a setting, silver lightens it, black holds against colour.
One lamp, three parts of the day
A touch moves the Bellamy through its settings. The difference is not brightness alone — it is the character of the light.
For dinner
The setting these photographs were taken in. Softens the table and everything on it.
For working
Clean and unobtrusive. Enough to see by without changing the mood of the room.
For reading
Crisper light for late pages, or a counter where you need to see properly.
Several evenings
Six to ten hours per charge depending on the setting, and four hours to fill it again.
28cm tall, on a 13cm base
Small enough to leave room for plates and glasses. Tall enough to read as a proper lamp rather than a candle.

The questions people actually ask
Does it work without a cable?
Yes. You charge it by USB, then use it with nothing plugged in — so it sits anywhere on the table with nothing trailing behind it.
How long does one charge last?
Between six and ten hours, depending on the setting — nearer ten on the lower brightness, nearer six at full. A full charge takes around four hours over USB, from a 2000mAh battery. In practice that covers several evenings of dinner before it needs plugging in again.
How big is it?
28cm high on a 13cm base. Roughly the height of a wine bottle, and it takes up about as much table.
Is it right for a dining table?
That is what it was made for. The low, close light works the way restaurant table lamps do — it lights the table rather than the room.
Can I change the colour of the light?
Yes — warm, neutral and cool, changed by touch. Warm for dinner, neutral for working, cool for reading.
How do I switch it on?
By touch. A sensor on the top disc turns it on, changes the setting and adjusts the brightness. There is no visible switch.
Which finishes are available?
Gold, silver and black — all in the same brushed aluminium, not a coating over plastic.
Will it work as a bedside lamp?
Well, and particularly where there is no socket behind the bed. At 28cm it leaves room for a book and a glass of water.
Will it light the whole room?
No — and it is not meant to. It is an accent light for a table or a counter, not a replacement for a ceiling fitting. If you want one lamp to light a whole room, this is not it.
Is the body really metal?
Yes. Brushed aluminium throughout, which is why it has weight in the hand and why the finish holds warm light the way it does.
How should I clean it?
A dry or barely damp soft cloth. Avoid abrasive creams and sprays — they mark the brushed finish.

Please refer to the product images and description for exact dimensions. All products include mounting hardware. Compatible with standard UK ceiling roses and junction boxes. Minimum ceiling height recommendations vary by product — check individual listings.
Bulb base, wattage, and dimmer compatibility are noted on each listing. All products are rated for 230V AC UK standard. Smart bulb compatibility depends on the base type. Bulbs are not included unless stated. We recommend LED bulbs at 2700K warm white for optimal effect.
